Over the past several years ACT has grown tremendously. A quick look at our archives page will give you an idea of how many more productions we are mounting. And in addition to this, we have hired Colleen Rua as our Artistic Director. It is an exciting time to be involved with ACT, and we want to thank all of you for the support that has brought us this far.
We are thrilled to announce that we have received a Matching Challenge from an anonymous donor for this year's annual fundraiser. Every dollar given to ACT through March 31, 2010, up to a total of $1,500, will be matched with a donation of equal value. This means your donation will go twice as far. No matter what the size, every dollar of your gift will be doubled.
Your support is more important than ever so we thank you for whatever you are able to contribute.
Looking ahead, we are fully committed to continuing to offer children the chance to participate in live theater. We offer low participation fees for all of our programs to ensure all children will be able to participate without regard to cost. For those unable to pay, we offer full financial assistance.
We believe low fees are essential to our mission of making live theater available to as many children as possible, but they do not cover our operating costs, and they are not moving us closer to realizing our dream of our own ACT location and a dedicated fund for financial assistance.
We are embarking up on a new adventure to move us closer to our dreams and to foster our continued growth and expansion: an annual fund. As we establish an annual fund, we will be moving away from the membership model we have had in the past. In part this is a logistical decision; administering all the benefits was time consuming and often confusing, both for us and our members! In keeping with the whimsical nature of ACT, we are offering the “roles” shown above for our donors.
In addition, if a child concocts their own fundraising idea, (a lemonade stand, talent show, collecting cans, etc.) and donates any amount they raise, there is a special category of “Run Crew.”
We thank you for being here and bringing us to where we are today, and we hope you will continue your support generosity and commitment to the arts.

ACA members are then entitled to discounts on all ACA classes, camps & workshops, a free subscription to a monthly email newsletter and discounts from all ACA member partners (now 2 dozen local shops, restaurants, artists & arts organizations)
