The R&J Project

Performing via Livestream: March 5 and 6, 2021

Ages 13-18

“Then I defy you, stars!”

Two households, both alike in dignity

(In fair Verona, where we lay our scene),

From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes

A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life; Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their death bury their parents’ strife.

This brand new piece devised by the company will utilize Shakespeare’s language as a jumping off point to weave a new tale of youth, love, war, and what ultimately moves us toward healing.
